The Iowa River Hospice Bereavement program is to help families who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Through support and education the bereavement team assists those with a need to “walk” through the process and transition to life without their loved one, find ways to embrace the memories and to find hope again. The following bereavement services are available through Iowa River Hospice to anyone in the community at no cost and at their request and to all primary caregivers and family members of those who have been in our program.
- Phone Calls
- Cards on special occasions
- Individual counseling
- Support Groups
- Bereavement Library
- Monthly Bereavement Newsletters
I don't know what I would have done without Iowa River Hospice. I always feel so good after I attend one of the groups because, I don't feel like I am doing this all alone. You are my angels...The support is wonderful.
