Grief Support Groups
All of our support groups are open to anyone who is dealing with the death of a loved one, regardless of whether they were on a hospice program. There is always someone available with a listening ear at Iowa River Hospice.

Grow Through Grief
This is a 5-week support group designed to help those learning to deal with their grief and loss. The class provides videos, handouts and time to talk with others experiencing similar concerns and emotions. Participants are asked to attend all five sessions. Please call Iowa River Hospice to register for the next opportunity.
When: Twice Yearly
Spring Session 2024: Thursdays-March 14th, 21st, 28th, April 4th, & 11th. Time 5:30- 7:00 PM.
Fall Session 2024: Thursdays- TBD. Time 5:30-7:00 PM.
Where: Iowa River Hospice, 502 Plaza Heights Road, Marshalltown, Iowa.
Iowa River Hospice’s Common Bonds was developed to nurture caregivers. Each day can be a challenge for the caregiver but you are not alone. You may choose to become part of a network to provide strength and caring solutions for one another. You may choose to attend every meeting or just once in a while. Please call Iowa River Hospice if you are interested in more information or to join our group.

This group is open to all individuals who have experienced the recent death of a loved one.

Where: Bickford Senior Living, 101 Newcastle Road, Marshalltown, Iowa.
Grief Support in Marshalltown Schools
Group support is available to children in the Marshalltown Schools, based on need and per request of school counselors.
