Karla Newton Retires

Monday was a bittersweet day as we celebrated Karla’s retirement and her last day with Iowa River Hospice. She’s off to her next adventure in Alabama—becoming a full-time grandma to her sweet grandbabies!

Karla will be deeply missed by our staff, patients, families, and the entire community. Over nearly 20 years, she has made an incredible impact on this organization and touched countless lives.

We were grateful to gather for a staff potluck and open house, where many came to wish her well. She was showered with love, delicious food, cupcakes, a beautiful wind chime, and a special Iowa River Hospice artwork for her new home.

Best of luck, Karla—we love you and will miss you dearly!
